2. The evening before the big day is spent dancing at numerous balls that are organized around the city. Try to get into one held by the fire service in their stations, at which the fire-fighters are usually the star attraction.
   

3. On the 14th July the Parade on Champs-Elysées Avenue starts at around 10am, Fireworks by the Eiffel Tower starts at around 10pm and the Balls around town continue late into the night.
