November is the photography Month in Paris

La Maison Europeenne de la Photographie and other venues throughout Paris dedicate the month of November to exhibiting works which inspire amateur photographers and encourage an interest in photography as an art form. The Paris International Photo Fair, the central event, is held in mid-November at the Carrousel de Louvre.

Beaujolais Nouveau's Annual Release - Food Event

The long-awaited release of each year's Beaujolais Nouveau comes at the strike of midnight on the third Thursday in November. There are about 120 festivals to honor the arrival of this enticing young wine in the Beaujolais region alone, not to mention throughout France and across the globe. Paris isn't exactly in the Beaujolais region by any stretch, but it has several bistros that celebrate the release.

  2. On November 11 every year, the President lays a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier under the Arc de Triomphe, in memory of those who gave their lives in both World Wars.

Tango in the Suburbs - Music event

In October and November

Paris goes tango mad each autumn during Tango in the Suburbs (Banlieue Tango). Venues across the city and its suburbs welcome the biggest names of Latino dance scene. For six weeks, Paris and several cities in Ile-de-France welcome the biggest names of Latino dance scene and live to the rhythm of the tango.
