Sports Competitions - Sporting Events

Saut Hermès at the Grand Palais

from Friday 10 April 2015 to Sunday 12 April 2015

Nef du Grand Palais

Avenue Winston Churchill , 75008 Paris

Fleet-footed mounts…A legendary sporting event in a magnificent and no less legendary venue… The Equestrian competitions organised at the Grand Palais were all the rage in the early 20th century, a symbol of France's wealth and culture. Though officially terminated in 1957 (faced with the rise of the automobile), the competition was revived in 2010 and will once again be taking place in the famed Parisian palace. The tradition now continues as if it were never interrupted: it is now a well-established date on the cultural calendar. The Saut Hermès is an international Show Jumping competition and also an equestrian entertainment show. 4,000 spectators will be jumping for joy…
