Day 2 Rouen-Honfleur

In the morning see the cathedral painted by Monet, and the spot where Joan of Arc was burned at the stake. The old part of the town is picturesque with many cafes where you can have your breakfast. In the afternoon travel to the charming seaside resort Honfleur and enjoy one of many seafood restaurants and artists galleries.

Day 3 Honfleur-D-day landing beaches– Mont St Michel

Drive along some of the beaches of the D-Day landings, including Sword, Juno and Gold. At Arromanches visit the Invasion Landings’ Museum and at Omaha Beach to visit the American Military Cemetery of St Laurent. Follow the route of the Rangers depicted in Saving Private Ryan and visit the bunkers and the Rangers’ Memorial at Pointe du Hoc. Continue south and stay the night at the hotel near Mont St Michel.

Day 4 Mont St Michel-Le Mans

Mont St Michel is the most unique place on earth. The first structure, a simple oratory, was built here in the 8th century and during the time the new structures were added. The abbey’s attracted pilgrims and, by medieval times, a ‘ville basse’ had developed, with shops and guest houses. In the afternoon, drive east to Le Man famous not only by its 24 race, but as an exceptionally preserved medieval town. During the summer city old buildings and wall are magically illuminated with giant projectors. Best of all it’s free.

Day 5-6 Le Mans– Anger-Saumur-Usee-Langais-Tours

This whole day drive to the fairyland of Castles. You can choose which one you’d like to visit inside and which to observe from the outside. Our favorites are the sleeping beauty château at Ussé and Langais with its fabulous gardens. Don’t miss Azay le Rideau, once the home of a King’s minister and privately owned Château of Villandry, sometimes called the ‘Jewel of the Loire’, with beautifully furnished apartments and the Renaissance gardens.

Tour has an excellent accommodation facilities. Plan to stay here for two days and explore the Loire Valley castles and other attractions.

     Day 7-8 Tour-Chenonceaux-Amboise-Blois-Chambord

These castle together are the jewels in Loire Valley. Chambord is the largest and most elaborate castle in the area. Built as a hunting loge by the King Francois I, should be visited twice: during the day and at the end of the day (during the summer), for an amazing outdoor sound and light show (it’s not free but it’s worth every euro). Take a boat ride for a different perspective of the Chateau Chenonceaux, that used to be a bridge. Plan to stay at Blois for  two nights

Day 9 Blois-Beaugency-Orleans-Chateaudun-Chartres

A short drive from Blois is your quick stop to admire one of the most beautiful villages in France, Beaugecy and continue towards the big city of Orleans. Here you can spend couple of hours in the old part of the town, have lunch in one of many good restaurants or head toward the river for a short walk. In the afternoon continue to Chateaudun, a medieval castle and village with great views of the surrounding area. Make sure you arrive in Chartres on time for another free sound and light show projected on many public buildings and a famous Chartre Cathedral during the summer.

     Day 10 Chartres-Paris

Explore Chartres during the day and admire the beautiful stained glass rose window inside this famous cathedral, built on a sacred site. Arrive in Paris, just in time for an early dinner and an unforgettable nigh boat ride in the City of Lights.
