Tips for an enjoyable stay in Disneyland Paris
Plan your visit ahead
Study the maps and plan your day to avoid walking further than necessary. You can download a free app with real-time information on queuing times etc. Once in the park, stop by the City Hall, and pick up a few copies of the park plan and the daily program. It provides information on opening hours, parades, shows and ride closures.
Don’t overdo it
The whole Disney experience can be tiring, specially for small children. It's wise to avoid doing the Early Entry and staying late to see the fireworks show on the same day. On a day trip you can only see the highlights; in three or four days you could see pretty much everything and do your favourite rides more than once.
Beat the queues - fastpass to attractions and rides
This free facility gives you a time slot to come back later in the day, when you can access the ride with just a few minutes’ wait. You can only reserve one ride at a time, and it is not available for all rides (check out the Parks map).
Early Entry
If you’re staying at one of the Disney hotels in the Village you can enter the park from 8am and catch a couple of the more popular rides, before the crowd. However, make sure that you have a break during the day. Sit-down and rest your aching feet at one of the live shows, such as Animagique, Cinemagique, Stitch, and the Cars Stunt Show. They offer the added bonus of fast-moving queues and comfy seats. This way you’ll recup the energy and enjoy the evening performances.
The best time to visit Disneyland Paris
Go outside the school holidays and outside the summer months: there are far fewer visitors and queues are much shorter. However, bear in mind that more of the rides are closed for maintenance/renovation in winter and spring – check the official Disneyland site.
Two more practical tips
Start your visit from the back of the park at the start of the day, and working your way forwards. This way you’ll work agains the flow of people doing the opposite.
Avoid eating at lunchtime- the queues are shorter at lunch time.
